General Assembly:
General Assembly includes all representatives of local AATEFL offices in the 48 Algerian states in addition to members of the executive body; Each State shall appoint one representative.
Delegates are appointed by election.
Duration of the General Assembly election: 5 years, subject to renewal.
Its mission is:
- To give its opinion regarding the agenda and the results of activities, financial management reports, and the moral status of the Association.
- Approval of the basic laws and rules of procedure of the Assembly, in addition to the amendments.
- To elect other bodies.
- Approval of the resolutions of the Executive Office concerning the organization of the structure of the Assembly and local representation.
- Acceptance of gifts when progress by evidence and conditions, and after verification of non-incompatibility with the ruler objectives of the Association.
- To approve the establishment of advisory bodies, and continue to approve the acquisition of real estate.
- Study of appeals filed with respect to the accession to the Assembly.
- The final decision in discipline cases.
- Determining the amount of annual contributions.
The General Assembly meets in regular session at least once a year.
It meets in extraordinary session whenever the need arises, at the request of the President of the Assembly, or at the request of two-thirds of its members.
In these last two cases, the Secretary-General or Vice President replaces the President of the Assembly when necessary.
- Decisions are taken by a two-thirds General Assembly members present at the meeting, and in the case of equal votes, the president’s vote is decisive.
